The Good:
- Excellent picture quality. DVDs are awesome.
- LCDs don’t typically perform well for NTSC TV or composite input (e.g. from analog VCR). I found this TV to perform very well for analog inputs as well.
- Black level – Not excellent, but close to best among LCDs.
- The charcoal gray color matches with most home decor and living room colors.
- Excellent audio
- Loads of connectivity options
- No HDMI, but DVI is present.

Not so good :
- Remote controller
- No inbuilt HD tuner. Syntax website said that an HD tuner module will be available soon, and that the existing NTSC tuner can be swapped out. But I haven’t seen the HD tuner module anywhere yet.
